Terms of Service
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
These terms apply to the Adaptum app. Adaptum is provided by Matthias Zielinski, Konstanzenstraße 66, 90439 Nürnberg, Germany (see Imprint). You must be at least 16 years old to use Adaptum. You accept these terms by ticking the box for them on the account step when you first open the app; we record which version of the terms you accepted and when (this is version 2026-09). If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
2. What Adaptum does
Adaptum is a workout planning and tracking app. It builds a training plan around your goal, your schedule and the equipment you have, logs your workouts, adapts weights and volume from the sets you log, and tracks your progress over time. Adaptum works without an account; creating one is optional and only used to back up your training and restore it on another device.
3. Your data
Your profile, training plans and workout history are stored locally on your device. Uninstalling the app, or resetting its data from Profile, permanently deletes them. If you create an account, a backup is additionally stored on our servers; the Privacy Policy describes exactly what it contains. You can export your data as a file from Profile at any time.
4. Account
To create an account you need an email address you control; you sign in with a one-time code sent to it. Keep access to that mailbox secure, because anyone who can read it can sign in to your account. You can delete your account at any time in the app.
5. Paid features

6. Not medical advice
Adaptum provides general fitness planning tools, not medical or professional coaching advice. Talk to a qualified professional before starting any new exercise program, especially if you have a pre-existing health condition. Train within your own limits and stop an exercise if it causes pain.
7. Availability
The app's core features work offline on your device. Cloud features such as sign-in and backup depend on a server connection and may occasionally be unavailable. We develop the app continuously and may change or remove features.
8. Liability
We build Adaptum with care, but we cannot guarantee that it is free of errors or that a plan suits your individual situation. We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and where liability is mandatory by law, such as under the German Product Liability Act. For slight negligence we are liable only for breaches of essential obligations, limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this kind of service. Otherwise, our liability is excluded. 9. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated as the app changes. We will publish the updated terms on this page and change the date above. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. [TO VERIFY: how acceptance of changed terms is obtained]
10. Applicable law
These terms are governed by the law of the Federal Republic of Germany. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of the country where you live. [TO VERIFY: legal review]
